Rock in Rio 2024: Sold-Out with Katy Perry and Alison Wonderland Leading an All-Female Line-Up
The much-anticipated Dia Delas (Women’s Day) on September 20 at Rock in Rio 2024 has officially sold out, marking one of the festival's most eagerly awaited and exclusive days. With an all-female line-up, the event promises unforgettable performances from international superstars like Katy Perry and Alison Wonderland, as well as some of Brazil's finest DJ talent, including Samhara, Curol, and Barja. The success of Dia Delas reflects the growing demand for female representation in the music industry, with tickets selling out in record time. This is the second edition of Dia Delas, after its debut in 2022, showcasing Rock in Rio’s dedication to giving women a prominent stage.
Katy Perry, the headliner for this sold-out day, is ready to close the night on the Palco Mundo. As the highest-selling female artist in Capitol Records’ history, Katy boasts over 20 billion streams and eight music videos with over a billion views on YouTube. Since her breakthrough hit "I Kissed a Girl" topped the Billboard charts in 2008, she has become a global pop icon. Her performance at Dia Delas will celebrate her ongoing success and the power of female artists.
In the world of electronic music, Alison Wonderland will take the stage at New Dance Order. Hailing from Australia, she has become one of the most influential artists in the electronic scene, known for pushing musical boundaries with her unique sound. As a DJ, singer, and producer, Alison’s latest album Loner (2022) is a bold mix of complex beats and futuristic soundscapes. Her set at this sold-out event promises to be an electrifying finale for the electronic stage.
Brazil will be well-represented with Curol, an Afro House DJ who became one of the most streamed female artists globally, and Barja, a DJ and producer who is known for her innovative and powerful sets that mix House, Indie Dance, and Techno.
